The Leela Jaisalmer, a luxury desert resort and spa, is expected to open in 2026. Developed in partnership with The Godwin Group, this will be the hotel chain's first desert retreat. The resort will be well-connected to Jaisalmer Airport and easily accessible from Jodhpur.

Notably, The Leela currently operates 13 properties across India, with 10 new hotels in various stages of development.

Spread across 30 acres near the Jaisalmer Fort amid the Thar Desert, the resort will offer 80 rooms and tented villas. It will also feature expansive lawns, courtyards, multiple dining destinations, a world-class spa, a kids’ club, a swimming pool, and a pillarless ballroom for destination weddings and intimate gatherings. Guests will be able to indulge in bespoke experiences—ranging from private dining on the dunes to immersive cultural explorations of Jaisalmer’s historic havelis and forts.

But the experiences will stretch beyond the hotel premises. The Leela Jaisalmer will create a complete luxury circuit across Rajasthan, connecting The Leela Palace Udaipur and The Leela Palace Jaipur. With this, guests will be able to curate journeys that allow them to explore lakeside architecture, royal palaces, and the poetry of the desert.
