Appellation, the hospitality brand co-founded by Chef Charlie Palmer and veteran hotelier Christopher Hunsberger, has announced its flagship wellness destination: Ameyalli Park City. Slated to open in 2026, this luxury resort is taking shape in Midway, Utah, on a 78-acre site famed for its ancient geothermal springs. This 80-key boutique retreat will be located a short drive from the ski slopes of Deer Valley and Park City, amid 28 natural thermal springs.
But what truly sets the upcoming retreat apart from its existing counterparts is the partnership with wellness advocate Deepak Chopra. Chopra, a physician by education, is a proponent of holistic wellbeing that advocates yoga, meditation, and nutrition. He also advocates for alternative healing, with a special focus on Ayurveda. The upcoming wellness retreat in Utah aims to draw inspiration from—and provide its patrons—an experience of this expertise.
Where Wellness Will Shine
Named after the Nahuatl word for ‘sacred spring,’ Ameyalli Park City seeks to integrate luxury hospitality with holistic wellbeing. At the heart of this development is the Center of Excellence, where Chopra’s wellness philosophy and the Seven Pillars of Wellbeing (movement, mindfulness, nutrition, relationships, emotional balance, restful sleep, and laughter) will take shape. Think multi-sensory therapies, AI-assisted treatments, and immersive programmes that marry ancient wisdom with modern technology. It is hypothesised that Chopra will host select in-residence sessions through the year as well.
Introducing Ameyalli Park City

Sitting atop 28 natural thermal springs in the company of a geological preserve, Ameyalli Park City is designed by Overland Partners as a tribute to the surroundings. Complete with a granite-domed sanctuary, spa, and subterranean thermal pools, this retreat promises restorative rituals steeped in tradition.
At the Center of Excellence, created in partnership with the Chopra Foundation, ancient therapies will meet AI-enhanced diagnostics. This wellness sanctuary will also include a 50,000-square-feet subterranean flooded hypostyle hall containing thermal pools at various temperatures.
True Appellation Treat
Staying true to Appellation’s ethos of “celebrating the craft of food,” Ameyalli Park City will star seasonal menus built using locally-sourced produce at Chef Palmer’s signature restaurant. Guests will also be able to indulge in exclusive dining experiences across farm-to-table venues, intimate chef-led tastings, and hands-on workshops with regional makers.
A limited edition of private residencies takes these luxuries up a notch. Beyond cosy cottages and multi-bedroom estates, this wellness destination will also enter a managed rental programme where owners can embrace Utah’s alpine lifestyle with comfort and ease.
While the healing thermal springs and holistic in-house programme promise to pamper, the property will be located minutes away from Park City’s ski slopes and a short transfer from Salt Lake City International Airport. Year-round adventure like skiing and snowshoeing in winter or hiking and fly-fishing come summer are guaranteed!
