Robb Report India’s inaugural #RRExperience, The Royal Soirée at The Leela Palace, Udaipur, brought together the country’s most discerning minds and tastemakers for an evening of culture, conversation and lakeside splendour.
Oct 27, 2025
Set against the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola, Robb Report India hosted its inaugural #RRExperience The Royal Soirée, along with hospitality partner The Leela Palace, Udaipur. The evening reflected the Robb Report ethos of craftsmanship, culture, and refinement, drawing an intimate gathering of India’s most discerning aesthetes and connoisseurs of luxury.
Among the evening’s distinguished guests were actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, HH Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the custodian of the House of Mewar, Princess Krishna Kumari of Panna, and Maharani Priyadarshini Raje Scindia—their presence infusing the soirée with a regal gravitas.
The design, fashion, hospitality and art world was elegantly represented by RR Circle members like Sangita Kathiwada, designer Raghavendra Rathore and wife Kavita Rathore, hotelier Yeshwant Holkar and Abhimanyu Alsisar, author Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi, restaurateurs Zorawar and Dildeep Kalra of Massive Restaurants, Tarang and Akanksha Arora of Amrapali, and Sanya and Varun Jain of Smoke Lab.
Ace designer Amit Aggarwal, Jaipur-based jewellery designer Sunita Shekhawat and Digvijay Singh, along with Ajoy Chawla, CEO of Titan’s jewellery division, were among the other notable guests at the gala.
A Fireside Chat with Samantha Ruth Prabhu
A highlight of the evening was a fireside chat between actor and entrepreneur Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Avarna Jain, Chairperson of RPSG Lifestyle Media. Their dialogue, centred on Women & Entrepreneurship: Your Time is Now, weaved themes of purpose, balance, and reinvention in today’s evolving world of luxury. With warmth and candour, Samantha shared insights from her own journey, from redefining success to embracing well-being and inner strength. The conversation struck a chord with the audience, offering a glimpse into how luxury today lies as much within as it does without.
An Evening Scored in Strings and Stars
As twilight descended, guests gathered for a private candlelight performance by Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, whose soulful classical recital filled the palace hotel. Their music was an elegant prelude to a six-course gala dinner curated by the chefs at The Leela Palace, Udaipur. Each course drew inspiration from India’s rich culinary traditions, reinterpreted with contemporary finesse and paired with fine wines that matched the evening’s understated indulgence.
Every detail of The Royal Soirée reflected Robb Report India’s philosophy of meaningful luxury. From the Pichwai crafts corner and oud zone to the Pan-Asian lunch at The Library Bar, every experience invited guests to engage with artistry and craftsmanship up close.
As candles flickered over the lake and the night drew to a close, Robb Report India’s The Royal Soirée stood out not just as the first #RRExperience, but as a defining moment in how modern luxury is experienced and shared.
