The second edition of India Watch Weekend (IWW), held in Mumbai on January 17 and 18, saw participation from premium brands including A. Lange & Söhne, Epos, Grand Seiko, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, and Tutima, as well as independent brands Ming, Moritz Grossmann, and Nalla Nerum.
IWW, an event conceived by Karishma Karer and Punit Mehta, co-founders of The Hour Makers, a digital watch publication, is aimed at bringing together collectors, watchmakers, and watch brands. The two-day event included discussions, showcases, and demos, as well as educational sessions and masterclasses helmed by La Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH), a Geneva-based public interest foundation established for the preservation and promotion of watchmaking culture.
Here is our selection of standout watches from IWW 2026 that are either exclusively designed for women or categorised as unisex and can be worn by anyone.
The self-winding mechanical watch by the Swiss brand was conceived as an ode to the Côte d’Azur. The 33mm blue dial features diamonds that trace the famous French coastline, with the design extending to part of the bezel, case, and steel strap. The unique winding mechanism is powered by the motion of the wearer's wrist, but can also be wound manually if not worn regularly. The watch that is part of the Riviera Collection has a sapphire crystal case back and offers water resistance up to 50 metres.
Price: Rs. 5.6 lakh (approx.)
The 18K gold watch by one of France’s oldest watchmaking houses is fully framed with diamonds, has a 20mm mother-of-pearl dial, and blue steel hands. You can further customise the watch—the brand urges buyers to think of their timepieces as high jewellery—with any of the three interchangeable satin straps that are included as accessories.
Price: Rs. 81 lakh (approx.)
Available in white gold and rose gold cases, the Tefnut Twist by the German watch manufacturer features a unique winding mechanism: the Grossmann strap winder. The watch can be wound with a few turns of the strap attachment at 6 o’clock. Interestingly, the feature was created in response to a "grievance" from a customer about not being able to wind her watch without ruining her freshly painted nails. The strap is made of hand-stitched alligator leather and has a prong buckle in precious metal. In keeping with the company’s naming convention, the model is named after an ancient Egyptian deity; in this case, the Egyptian goddess Tefnut.
Price: Rs. 53 lakh (approx.)
Independent Swiss watch manufacturer Doxa is known for its dive watches but also its design aesthetics. Doxa continues to try out different colour combinations and new materials while retaining the functionality of a dive watch. The Doxa Sub 200T offers water resistance up to 200 metres. Its anti-reflective coating offers clear visibility in different conditions. Features include luminous hands, an oversized minute hand, a date window, and a unidirectional rotating bezel that allows for safe diving calculations. The slimmer timepiece with a 39mm diameter is built for smaller wrists.
Price: Rs 1.6 lakh (approx.)
The independent Swiss brand replaces traditional watch hands with a unique system of various elements (think serpentine creatures, gems, and arrows) that move around the outer edge of the dial (to show the hour) and along a figure-eight track (to show the minute). The GNS2 Nocturne has two sets of three golden arrows that you must rely on to tell the time. It is encased in an 18K rose gold case with a black crocodile leather strap.
Price: Rs 95 lakh (approx.)
