In 2004, Falguni Peacock and Shane Peacock entered the fashion industry with their label Falguni Shane Peacock. The brand brings together Falguni’s expertise in embroidery and Shane’s love for embellishments to structured, tailored silhouettes. Soon, they began showcasing their work at international fashion weeks including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and London. Over time, the brand has come to represent a distinctly modern take on Indian couture. FSP has dressed big names including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Kardashian.

In November of last year, RPSG Ventures Limited, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, acquired a 40 per cent stake in FSP Design Private Limited, the parent company of the fashion label.

The latest milestone for the brand is the opening of their Mumbai flagship store. They also have a collaboration with Katrina Kaif’s Kay Beauty to launch Kay Kouture, a premium beauty brand. In a rapid-fire chat with Robb Report India, the two share their design inspirations and also tell us what’s next for the brand.

RR: What signature element of your brand do brides love most?

Falguni: Feathers, sequins, and crystals still rule the request list. They have become our language, as they are expressive, celebratory, and instantly recognisable.

RR: What is a trend you feel should retire?

Shane: There was a time when I would say I would never wear bell-bottoms. But it has come back in fashion. So, I feel one should never say never.

RR: What’s the one extra element about your label that you truly love?

Falguni: Our pieces are fearless, unapologetically glamorous, and always have that little twist that turns heads.

RR: What was your reaction when you realised that your brand was resonating beyond India?

Shane: The first moment of realisation was back in 2006, when Harrods reached out saying that they wanted to buy our collection. We remember thinking, “They see us and they understand us.”

RR: What’s next for Falguni Shane Peacock?

Falguni: You’ll see expansions, new categories, and collaborations that push our creative boundaries. But at the heart of it all, our vision remains the same: to create couture.
