BMW Launches X6 M60i xDrive In India At Rs. 1.78 Crore

In a newly development, BMW India dropped its new X6 M60i xDrive in the country, making its flagship V8-powered Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) available for Indian buyers as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model. The performance SUV-coupé, priced at Rs. 1,77,90,000 (ex-showroom), enjoys the top position of the X6 line-up and infuses a new-generation 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine with BMW's latest chassis, suspension and digital technologies.

In this new model, the biggest talking point comes in the form of the new developed 4.4-litre V8 engine, which produces 530 hp and 750 Nm of torque. Paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission, you'll find the X6 M60i charging from 0-100 km/h in mere 4.3 seconds before it reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. While the M Sport exhaust is tuned to deliver the characteristic sound associated with BMW's V8-powered performance models, its paddle shifters come as standard.

M Performance Hardware As Standard

BMW has equipped the new X6 M60i with a comprehensive suite of M-specific hardware. Adaptive M Suspension, Integral Active Steering with rear-wheel steering, rear-biased xDrive all-wheel drive and the M Sport Differential entail the new car and work together to enhance agility and stability across various driving conditions. The SUV also features M Sport brakes with red-painted callipers, while electronically controlled dampers continuously adjust to balance ride comfort and handling.

The exterior receives the M Sport package Pro as standard. It includes a gloss black rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, M seat belts and 21-inch M light-alloy wheels fitted with run-flat tyres. Slim Adaptive LED headlights with M Shadowline treatment, a matt black kidney grille with vertical double ribs, gloss black M exterior mirrors, M-specific side skirts and dark rear apron inserts distinguish the new model from the standard X6 range.

Customers can choose from six rich exterior paint finishes: Aventurine Red, Manhattan Metallic, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Mineral White and Isle of Man Green. The cabin comes equipped with Sensafin upholstery in Silverstone, Tacora Red/Black, Black or Cognac. Buyers looking for greater personalisation can also opt for more than 40 BMW Individual paint finishes and extended Merino leather upholstery.

Curved Display, Connected Tech And Driver Assistance

Inside, the X6 M60i adopts BMW's latest digital cockpit hinged around the BMW Curved Display. The setup brings a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster together with a 14.9-inch central touchscreen beneath a single glass surface. Other standard equipment come in the form of ventilated electrically adjustable front seats with lumbar support and driver's memory function, Harman Kardon surround sound with 16 speakers and a 464-watt amplifier, ambient lighting, fine wood trim and soft-close doors. Comfortable massage seats and Crafted Clarity glass controls are available as optional extras. 

The SUV runs BMW Operating System 8.5 and supports voice control through the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. BMW ConnectedDrive features include cutting edge features such as Digital Key Plus, Remote Services, Emergency Call and Real-time Traffic Information via the My BMW app. Wireless smartphone integration and Remote Software Upgrades further enhance the package.

Driver assistance systems include Parking Assistant Professional with a 360-degree surround-view camera, Reversing Assistant that can retrace the last 200 metres driven, cruise control with braking function and a head-up display. Safety equipment includes six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control, Cornering Brake Control, ABS with Brake Assist, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, tyre pressure monitoring and crash sensors.

Speaking on the launch, Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, described the X6 M60i xDrive as a flagship performance model built around the brand's V8 engine and aimed at buyers seeking an expressive luxury vehicle with strong performance credentials. 

BMW India is also offering the X6 M60i through BMW Financial Services under its SMART Finance programme, which includes an assured buyback value of 60 per cent after three years or 10,000 km. Customers can additionally finance BMW Service Inclusive, BMW Secure Advance and extended warranty packages as part of the purchase.
