The MINI Countryman SE All4 Mixes Adventure Sport with Eco-Consciousness

Dynamic, sporty, and exclusive. That’s what the new MINI Countryman SE All4, which has just been launched in India at INR 66.9 lakh (ex-showroom), is. What it also is, is all electric, which means owners can now add an element of zero direct emissions to their adventure sport lifestyle. The car will be available in the country as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and can be booked at all MINI India authorized dealerships, with deliveries starting immediately, the company has announced.

The MINI Countryman SE All4 features a modern yet minimalist design. Clean surfaces combine with wide wheel arches to reinforce its ready-to-run stance while also ensuring a certain timeless appeal to the silhouette. The exterior colour options, Legend Grey or Midnight Black, are complemented by roof and mirror caps and Sport Stripes in Black.

The John Cooper Works trim stands out with unique design features of the Grille, Bumpers, Side Skirts, Rear Spoiler, and Door Entry Sills. The JCW Aerodynamic styling, JCW Sports stripes in Black, and Black Roof rails offer a dynamic appearance. The Piano Black Exterior Trim and wheel arches add to the sporty look of the car. The 19-inch JCW Runway Spoke Black alloy wheels further elevate the sharp character.

On the inside, we see a carryover of that minimalist theme, with the focal point of the cabin being the round 240mm dia QLED display that dominates the centre console. All vehicle functions can be accessed through this screen, which is both touch and voice-activated, and obviously, it has both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The innovative MINI Digital Key Plus turns the smartphone into a car key via the MINI App and can be transferred to different users, along with their personal vehicle settings. There’s also a head-up display, a fun fisheye camera that allows passengers to click selfies and videos, a Harman Kardon surround sound entertainment system, in-car weather, intelligent emergency services, and more. Meanwhile, the cabin’s sportiness is elevated with JCW Sports Seats, Vescin/Cord combination JCW Black upholstery, and JCW Dashboard Trim. Electric seat adjustment with Active Seat for the driver is available as standard. The JCW Steering Wheel with paddle shifters adds to the hallmark MINI go-kart feeling. The Headliner Anthracite elevates aesthetics inside the cockpit. The dashboard and door panels are completely chrome-free and leather-free, using recycled 2D knitted fabric lining.

The MINI Countryman SE All4 is powered by dual electric motors that produce 313hp and 494 N · m of peak torque. As a result, the Countryman SE All4 can go from zero to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, which means this all-electric SUV offers the same peppy go-kart-like performance that is the hallmark of the MINI brand. Claimed range is 433km, which should translate easily into a real-world range of 350-370km.
