We spotted Patrick Dempsey’s viral videos racing a drool-worthy Porsche all day yesterday. But his wheels are what we’re after. We’re talking about Porsche’s latest drop, the top-of-the-line model of its iconic 911 series. The model in question is the 911 Turbo S, which is the most powerful production 911 ever made.
The newly unveiled sports car will be released in both a coupé and cabriolet iterations, but its performance is what we’re here to talk about. We’re talking about a jaw-dropping torque of 800 Nm and a power of 523 kW being pumped out of the newly minted powertrain. The twin-turbo T-Hybrid powertrain, first seen in 2024 on the 911 Carrera GTS, does indeed boast a significantly increased output, taking this wonder car’s capabilities a notch higher. Sprinting from 0 to 100 kmph is a treat and takes 2.5 seconds, 0.2 seconds quicker than its predecessor. And if you do want to push the 911 Turbo S to its limit, its top speed is declared as 322 kmph.

To throw in a Nürburgring reference, this one completed the lap in 7:03:92 minutes, a whole 14 minutes faster than its predecessor. For those geeks who look out for the aerodynamic elements, you will find vertical cooling air flaps and an adjustable spoiler lip at the front and the extendable, tilting rear wing, which reduces the drag coefficient of this current model by 10 per cent as compared to the previous model.

Porsche reserves the Turbonite colour for its Turbo models, and these colour accents are seen on the exterior as well as on interior trims like the door panels, dashboard, seatbelts, and centre console. The coupé variant comes as a default two-seater, while the cabriolet comes as a four-seater.

RR Verdict: The cult 911 model’s most powerful model yet is definitely an object of desire. This, for us, is the quintessential sports car to be ‘enjoyed’ on the roads. To take it one notch higher, we’d recommend the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur for an indulgent customisation ranging from 100 exterior colours, exclusively-designed wheels, and bespoke interiors, ranging from stitching options and leather panels. Our favourite indulgence, you ask? A personalised, painted vehicle key to brag about your new Porsche 911 Turbo S. Or maybe even Porsche Design’s bespoke timepiece that lets you design a watch that perfectly matches your car. Chic!
