When two Italian luxury houses, authorities in their own right, come together, the results are bound to be newsworthy. Maserati’s stellar collaboration with Italian interior maison, Giorgetti, sees a limited edition series of furniture pieces. But that’s not all! As part of this collaboration, the brand has released a one-off, customised Grecale.

Let us break this one down for you. The entire concept is a celebration of Italian handcrafts and luxury—essentially, all things bespoke. Think furniture pieces inspired by the automotive world, and a car featuring design elements from an interior brand. Chic!
It’s a perfect match, say design and auto insiders. Giancarlo Bosio, Giorgetti’s creative director, is quick to point that this collaboration with Maserati is “not merely a branding exercise," but an attempt to use Maserati’s approach to personalised luxury.

The result is the Giorgetti Maserati Edition, with the iconic Neptune’s trident as a leitmotif. We see some stunning pieces like the Nereide modular sofa on a wooden platform, the Seldon sofa which replicates the curves of a sports car, the Ligea coffee tables replicating the air intakes on a Maserati, and the Ploto coffee table with its design that reminds of the waves (tying in to Maserati’s Neptune’s trident). These pieces are available at select international stores and now in India, too.

But we’ve saved the best for last. Robb Report India is all about one-off, ultra-rare pieces. A case-in-point is the single care that Maserati has released for this occasion: a Grecale Folgare, full-electric, created by the Fuoriserie ateliers in Modena, Italy, at the brand’s customisation workshops. The car has been designed in a special Gleaming Dusk colour, with a sporty grille, 21-inch grey-black alloys, chic copper brake calipers, and finished off with the Fuoriserie logo in copper to denote its customised identity.

Giorgetti finds expression inside the Grecale with denim-hued leather finishes that give the feeling of a stylish lounge at home, while the seats are upholstered with exclusive Giorgetti four-thread fabric. Interestingly enough, this fabric is also used in the furniture pieces. Denim leather is generously used through the cabins, and the denim. Alcantara headrests featuring the historic trident logo add a nice touch. Look closely at the door sills and you will read the Italian term due icone, una visione (two icons, one vision). We love the sight of this one-off piece rolling off the production line at the Officine Fuoriserie, one of Italy’s sacred spaces for customisation, in Modena. Bellissimo!
