The Salarjung Museum in Hyderabad recently became the backdrop for a remarkable celebration of Indian art. Harvest 2025, curated by Payal Kapoor, commemorates 25 years of Arushi Arts Gallery, a journey dedicated to championing contemporary, tribal, and indigenous art of India. The exhibition brings together collectors, artists, and enthusiasts to experience a blend of legacy and innovation in one immersive setting.

At the heart of the exhibition are works by legendary artists including S.H. Raza, Krishen Khanna, Ram Kumar, Tyeb Mehta, Bhupen Khakkhar, J. Swaminathan, and Jangarh Singh Shyam. These are complemented by creations from Sanjay Bhattacharya, Laxma Goud, Satish Gujral, K.G. Subramanyan, Manu Parekh, Shobha Broota, and Sakti Burman, creating a dialogue across generations. The exhibition balances mastery with experimentation, offering visitors a vivid journey through India’s evolving art landscape.

An Evening of Art and Elegance

The preview on 31st August welcomed a distinguished mix of cultural figures, artists, and patrons. Bollywood actress Neelam Kothari Soni, Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu, DG of NGMA Sanjeev Kishor Goutam Rajput, philanthropist Neelam Pratam Rudy, and multidisciplinary artist Sanjay Ashtaputre were among the guests, lending an air of elegance and gravitas to the evening.

Through Arushi Arts, Payal Kapoor has brought India’s artistic heritage to audiences both locally and internationally, supporting workshops, specialised training, and philanthropic initiatives along the way.

Harvest 2025 runs until 11th September from 11 am to 4:30 pm, at the Salarjung Museum before moving in parts to Delhi, offering an immersive encounter with India’s finest art, past, present, and future.
