Saudi Arabia Is Bringing the Red Sea Yacht Show to Jeddah in 2027

Saudi Arabia is to host its own Monaco-style superyacht show, as the place steps up efforts to establish the Red Sea as one of the world's leading luxury yachting destinations. The inaugural Red Sea Yacht Show will take place at Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina from October 14 to 17, 2027, drawing together some of the biggest names in yacht building, ownership, brokerage and design, alongside leading luxury brands.

Organisers are targeting more than 50 superyachts, 150 global exhibitors and upwards of 10,000 ultra-high-net-worth and high-profile guests. More than $3 billion (Rs 288.18 billion) worth of yachts are expected to be on display, a figure that places the event firmly among the serious players of the international calendar.

With Monaco Pedigree

The show is being organised by Tahaluf and Informa Prestige, co-organised by Saudi entertainment and events company Sela, and hosted by Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina. Crucially, it will be powered by the Monaco Yacht Show, widely regarded as one of the most important fixtures in the superyacht world. The partnership was sealed earlier this week during the Monaco Yacht Show itself, when Tahaluf and Sela signed an agreement to develop and deliver the event in the presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The Saudi Red Sea Authority has also signed an agreement with Tahaluf to act as government sponsor, promoting investment opportunities across yachting, marinas and marine services. Guests can expect a dedicated watch and jewellery salon, private onboard receptions and bespoke experiences aimed at wealthy yacht owners, family offices and private capital advisers. Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina offers 94 berths and can accommodate vessels of up to 120 metres, giving Saudi Arabia the infrastructure to compete for a larger share of the global yachting market.

From The Mediterranean To The Red Sea

For decades, many of the world's superyachts have spent summer cruising the Mediterranean before relocating for winter. The Red Sea Yacht Show is built around the proposition of Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Its mid-October timing coincides with the close of the Mediterranean season, tempting owners to sail through the Suez Canal towards Saudi Arabia instead of crossing the Atlantic.

That would bring them within reach of a fast-growing collection of luxury destinations along the Saudi Red Sea coast, while creating openings for marinas, yacht maintenance, charter companies, hospitality operators and other marine businesses. Sela has separately signed an agreement to support a specialist superyacht maintenance facility in Jeddah, a sign that the Kingdom intends to build an industry around these vessels.

Why It Matters For Luxury

For the luxury sector as well the announcement is significant. Superyacht owners sit at the very top of the wealth pyramid and where they choose to spend their time and their money, shapes demand for everything from fine jewellery and haute horlogerie to private aviation and high-end hospitality.

By aligning with the Monaco Yacht Show brand, Saudi Arabia is borrowing instant credibility while signalling long-term intent. This is not a one-off spectacle but part of a broader strategy to develop the Saudi Arabia yachting industry and position the Red Sea alongside the Mediterranean and the Caribbean as a fixture on the superyacht map. For Saudi Arabia, the Red Sea Yacht Show is another piece in its attempt to place the Red Sea firmly on the global luxury map.
