Jumeirah Makes its Debut in the World of Yachting with the Maltese Falcon
The luxury hospitality brand enters the world of superyacht charters with one of sailing's most celebrated vessels.

Jumeirah has added a new kind of address to its Privé collection, and this time it floats. The Maltese Falcon, the 88-metre sailing yacht long considered a modern icon, is now part of the brand’s ultra-private portfolio. With only Jumeirah Thanda Island for company, the yacht introduces an entirely new expression of the Privé philosophy: intimacy, privacy, and a level of service that feels almost residential.
Inside The Maltese Falcon’s Elevated Yachting Experience
The Maltese Falcon has always had a certain mythology around it. Since debuting in 2006, it has collected more than 18 global awards and earned admiration for its pioneering DynaRig system, whose three carbon-fibre masts can unfurl an enormous 2,400 square metres of sail in six minutes. A recent refit has brought a fresh clarity to the interiors and outdoor decks, paired with upgraded engineering that keeps the yacht at the top of its game.
Life onboard is designed for only 12 guests. There is a full-beam master suite, a private VIP deck with its own terrace, and four beautifully finished double cabins. The heart of the yacht is a three-deck atrium crowned by a skylight, wrapped around the main mast. Up on the flybridge, a rotating sunbed makes the most of open sea views, while evenings can play out with a cinema experience projected directly onto the lower sail. A dedicated wellness area adds massage and fitness facilities, and a full line-up of water toys rounds out the offering.
Jumeirah’s touch can be felt in the details: thoughtful dining, warm service, and wellness-led moments that bring the brand’s hospitality ethos to sea. The Maltese Falcon begins its first season under the Privé banner in December 2025, setting off from Antigua before spending summers in the Mediterranean and winters in the Caribbean.
