Changing the Game

At the centre of this shift is Blingbird’s founder, Puja Bansal, whose 28-year journey in fine jewellery, haute fashion, and bespoke craftsmanship informs every decision made by the company. Having travelled to 40 countries, Bansal recognised early that India’s increasing discerning audience was outgrowing standard itineraries. She recognised that the travel industry was largely transactional and template-driven, thanks to her global exposure.
Blingbird was born in 2018 as a response to that growing gap. “Luxury travel is personal,” says Bansal. “Our job is to listen—to understand what luxury means— and to then build a world around it.”

Blingbird’s growth has been largely organic and driven by word-of-mouth publicity by some of India’s most esteemed clientele including YPO members, globally recognised families, doctors, lawyers, founders, and senior corporate leaders, who return year after year. This rising impact was recently acknowledged at The Most Powerful Women in Business 2025 awards, where Bansal was recognised as the ‘Visionary Woman Leader in Travel & Hospitality’. The brand has also been recognised at the India Travel Awards 2025 for being a ‘Pioneer in Unique Experiential Luxury Travel.’
