Robb Report India hosted its inaugural #RRExperience, The Royal Soirée, at The Leela Palace, Udaipur, setting the tone for an evening where luxury and meaningful dialogue came together. Against the ethereal backdrop of the Pichola lake at the hotel's courtyard 'Rangmanch', Robb Report India hosted an intimate fireside chat between Avarna Jain, CEO of RPSG Lifestyle Media, and acclaimed actress and entrepreneur Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The ambience was serene and personal, framed by candlelight, calm waters, and Udaipur’s evening breeze.

A Moment of Pause and Reinvention

Samantha opened the conversation by acknowledging the beauty and energy of the setting. She shared how she was suddenly pulled away from the spotlight and from the unstoppable momentum expected of a star, yet what seemed like a setback became a turning point. Reflecting on those months, she said, “For the first time, I wasn’t running. I finally sat with myself. And it changed everything,” adding that what she believed was the worst moment of her life eventually became her greatest teacher.

Leadership Rooted In Emotional Intelligence

The conversation shifted to leadership and how women lead with a different kind of power. Samantha spoke honestly about emotional intelligence being at the core of her decision-making, both on screen and as an entrepreneur. She explained that intuition forms her strength, saying, “Women understand the emotional temperature of a room. We sense things. And when you lead from that place, people don’t just follow you; they believe in you.” For her, leadership is about reading the room, acknowledging people’s emotions, and building trust rather than asserting authority.

Entrepreneurship With Purpose

From launching her own production house, Tralala Moving Pictures, to investing in wellness, menstrual health, and even owning a pickleball team, Samantha described how she chooses projects that feel authentic. She spoke of wanting more than success or visibility, emphasising purpose as a guiding force. “I want to tell stories that matter. I want to build something that outlives me,” she said, explaining that she only invests in things she truly believes in or uses herself. Her ambitions reflect a shift from stardom to legacy, where impact outweighs applause.

When asked what luxury means to her now, Samantha gave an answer that silenced the room in the best possible way. Instead of associating luxury with things or opulence, she reflected on connection and presence. “Luxury is presence. It is being surrounded by people who are listening, not recording. This moment right here… this is luxury,” she said. As the conversation closed and guests prepared for the gala dinner at the Guava Garden, the emotion lingered in the air, leaving everyone with the sense that luxury is not found in what we own, but in what we experience and who we share it with.
