Singapore’s Changi airport is infamous for being one of the most popular globally acclaimed air hubs, and part of the credit goes to its unparalleled luxurious experiences and passenger experience. Conceived as 135,700 square metres, the Jewel Changi Airport is home to the Rain Vortex, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. The waterfall is surrounded by the Forest Valley, a terraced garden with over 2,000 trees and palms. In the evening, the Rain Vortex transitions into a light and music showcase, further enhancing its appeal. Although free of cost, the light and show timings are 8 pm and 9 pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8 pm, 9 pm, and 10 pm (Friday to Saturday).
Located on the topmost floor of the Jewel, the Canopy Park welcomes guests, both young and young at heart, with a plethora of fun play attractions, including mazes, discovery slides, foggy bowls, petal garden, and topiary walks. Spread across 14,000 square metres, guests can stroll along the garden trails, slide down slides, or simply sit inside bowls of gentle mist. For entry to the park, the standard rate is SGD 8 (approx. Rs 584) for both kids and adults. Whereas, for Singapore residents, the price is SGD 6 (approx. Rs 440).
The Changi Experience Studio is where one can go on a journey through the virtual world of Changi Airport. With activities ranging from projection experiences, 20 interactive games over 10 content zones, and immersive shows, this first-of-its-kind digital attraction uses the power of technology to help understand the history and behind-the-scenes of the development of Changi. The standard rates for the experience studio are SGD 25 (approx. Rs 1,400) for adults and SGD 17 (approx. Rs 950) for children/seniors, while Singapore residents get discounted rates of SGD 19.80 (approx. Rs 1,100) for adults and SGD 14.80 (approx. Rs 830) for children/students/seniors. A family bundle costs SGD 59.80 (approx. Rs 3,350) and includes two adults and two children/seniors.
Waiting for long layovers and delayed flights is a lot easier at Changi Airport. Located within Aerotel Airport Transit Hotel in Terminal 1, nothing is better than relaxing at a unique rooftop swimming pool. Take a swim while watching airplanes take off, unwind with a bubbling jacuzzi, have a nice drink at the chic poolside bar, and rejuvenate before your next journey. Operating from 12 PM to 10 PM every day, the price per person is $25 (approx. Rs 2,300) with service charges and government taxes.
For those who love pampering before their transit time, nothing is better than availing the luxurious facilities at one of the several premium lounges at the airport. The Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 1 offers a tranquil retreat with private rest suites, a wine cellar, and dining offering local and international cuisine. The prices for this lounge start at SGD 50 (approx. Rs 2,800) per person.
Located on Terminal 2 and 3, the Ambassador Transit Lounge features comfortable seating, showers, a buffet, and nap rooms, all available at prices starting from SGD 55 (approx. Rs 3,100) per person. SATs Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 is a haven for foodies, with strong food and beverage options, sleep pods, and massage chairs, starting from SGD 45 (approx. Rs 2,500) per person.
Meanwhile, Marhaba Lounge in Terminal 3 offers a stylish yet luxurious space housing gourmet refreshments, showers, and comfortable seating, all priced at SGD 40 (approx. Rs 2,200) per person.
