Moreover, dials are becoming more of a design centrepiece with statement-making, vibrant hues and gradients, as well as textured finishes like sunburst, stone, and layered effects. There is a push toward inculcating minimalism, exemplified by slim profiles, clean lines, and scaled-back branding. Here are our key picks among the latest launches:
Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch
With this timepiece, Cartier pays homage to watchmaking tradition while adding a fresh twist to its codes. A metal arch protects the sapphire cabochon on the winding crown, defining the watch's signature aesthetic. The rail track, though present, takes a subtle diversion. Roman numerals stretch out under the optical, magnifying effect of the sapphire crystal.
Equipped with a day/night complication, the watch signals the transition from day to night via a crescent-shaped aperture at 10 o'clock. Bluish iridescence interacts with the diamonds crowning the 36 mm mother-of-pearl dial. The Roman numerals are elegantly displayed, concealing a secret Cartier signature within one of the bars of the VII. The overall aesthetic complements the semi-matt grey leather strap.
This watch is also available with an aventurine glass dial in white gold. This material—composed of glass infused with copper crystals—captures light to enhance the watch's aura. Its mechanical automatic movement brings this magic to life.
Gucci Play
First introduced in the mid-1980s, the Gucci Play timepiece captured the spirit of a decade defined by bold self-expression and stylistic freedom. Its distinctive design—with colourful, interchangeable bezels—was a revolutionary concept for its time.
Now, Gucci Play returns for a new generation. The case size has been subtly increased to 28 mm for a more contemporary wrist presence, while the bezel is now crafted in high-quality ceramic for a refined, durable finish. Bezels affix to a stainless-steel case with yellow-gold plating, paired with a matte white dial. They come in six colours: green, red, pink, white, black, and navy, plus Gucci’s signature green-and-red web stripe.
Louis Vuitton Monterey
This limited-edition timepiece revives the Maison’s first-ever wristwatch, which burst onto the horological scene in the late 1980s. Now a cult phenomenon and ultra-desirable collector’s favourite, the original LV I and LV II models—crafted in a signature pebble shape—were designed by visionary architect Gae Aulenti and channelled the Maison’s travel heritage.
La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton elevates this icon’s design codes with the finest savoir-faire. The Monterey arrives in yellow gold with a stunning white Grand Feu enamel dial that echoes the original’s graphic footprint. It swaps the quartz calibre of the heritage pieces for an in-house automatic movement and is limited to 188 pieces.
According to Matthieu Hegi, artistic director at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton: “Reinterpreting a creation means respecting its design and spirit. We maintain the same graphic codes but strive for a more modern and elevated feel."
Tudor Ranger
The new Ranger models expand Tudor's lineup of its iconic expedition watch. From the 1950s ice caps of the British North Greenland Expedition to today’s dunes of Saudi Arabia’s Empty Quarter with the Dakar Rally, robust Tudor timepieces have accompanied daring adventurers through Earth’s most inhospitable regions for decades.
The latest Rangers carry that legacy forward—now in 36 mm and “Dune White”. Alongside the new “Dune White” dial, they introduce a fully brushed stainless-steel case in 36 mm (joining the existing 39 mm size).
The Eternity by Tiffany
The design of The Eternity by Tiffany watch collection draws inspiration from 1960s Tiffany & Co. advertisements showcasing diamond engagement rings in diverse shapes and styles.
On the Eternity dial, each of the 12 hour markers features a different cut: round brilliant, baguette, cushion, Tiffany True®, marquise, Asscher, heart, pear, oval, emerald, triangle, and princess. At 12 o’clock sits the heart-shaped diamond—a nod to the idea that every day begins and ends with love.
Artisans hand-mill the 12 diamond settings on each dial and set every stone individually, a testament to the House’s masterful craftsmanship. Echoing the classic eternity ring, the bezel glimmers with an unbroken line of diamonds. The crown, topped with a solitaire diamond, mirrors the six-prong Tiffany® Setting engagement ring. Even the 18k gold T buckle on the black brushed calfskin strap is diamond-set.
Panerai Luminor GMT Ceramica
The Swiss Maison with Italian DNA ignites its Luminor collection with the Luminor GMT Ceramica PAM01460 and PAM01783—the first 40 mm Luminor cases in the ceramic material.
These additions fuse Panerai’s high-tech material expertise with timeless design, distilling the signature Luminor aesthetic into a smaller, more versatile size with contemporary appeal. True to form, they feature a crown-protecting device—now in ceramic—paired with the dial’s signature luminosity and sandwich construction.
Andy Warhol Watch by Piaget
After unveiling their partnership last November and restoring the name to this watch, Piaget and the Andy Warhol Foundation introduce a limited edition of 50 pieces inspired by the artist’s Collage artwork.
An avid collector of both trivial and exquisite objects, Warhol purchased seven Piaget watches in his lifetime—none more recognisable than the iconic cushion-shaped piece he acquired in 1973, formerly known as the 15102.
