Italian luxury brand Moncler unveiled its fall/winter 2026 Grenoble collection on a snow-covered slope in Aspen, Colorado. Marking the maison's debut in a United States ski destination, the show aligned with the opening of the brand's first American flagship store for the Grenoble line.
The runway, constructed entirely in a natural basin near T-lazy-7 Ranch, was surrounded by towering pine trees and the mountains. With many guests arriving by snowmobile, the show gave them an opportunity to get a first-hand experience of the landscape, which was an integral part of the show.
A Show Built Exclusively for Altitude
With supermodel Gigi Hadid opening the show, the models emerged from treed pathways into a mogul-filled terrain cut deep into snow, navigating through the moonlit surface in fashion pieces designed straight for sweater weather.
The collection included 95 looks, all with a focus on high-performance outerwear, including down-filled parkas, insulated ski suits, technical jackets, and layered shells, all made with weather-resistant materials, engineered quilting, and protective finishes designed for chilling temperatures.
An Ode to the Terrain
But what influenced the collection the most was Aspen's landscape and the surrounding area. Design elements, such as fringe accents, corduroy panels, Western allusions, and mountain landscape-inspired graphics featured on jackets and accessories. The collection expanded the Grenoble wardrobe into lifestyle territory, with ensembles meant to be worn off the hill, in addition to slope-ready pieces.
