iPhone Duo Sales Start, But There May Be A Problem

The iPhone Duo has changed the iPhone look and feel in a major way for the first time by introducing the foldable iPhone Duo. The phone, is a bold new addition to the luxury-tech market, and opens into a larger screen while retaining the premium materials and tightly integrated ecosystem associated with Apple. The company’s first foldable smartphone went on sale in India on October 23, 2026, with prices starting at ₹2,99,900. The Duo has a titanium frame, a 7.6-inch inner display, and Apple’s latest A20 Pro chip. However, buyers will face a problem. There is not enough stock with Apple to provide immediate delivery. In fact, most of the stock disappeared on the first day it went on sale. Blinkit reportedly sold out its entire stock of iPhone Duos within minutes. That means the wait may stretch into weeks or even months, before buyers get their hands on the iPhone Duo.

Apple iPhone Duo: Design and Features

The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner OLED display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, allowing users to switch between everyday smartphone use and a larger canvas for videos, browsing and multitasking. In fact, those who think the iPad is a little too large, may find the iPhone Duo size just right for everything including watching videos and then simply folding it back into their pocket.

Its titanium frame, Ceramic Shield protection, and IP68 rating add to its premium construction. Measuring 5.2mm thick when open and weighing 254g, the device balances a large screen with portability. Both displays support refresh rates of up to 120Hz.

Processor, Camera and Battery

Powering the iPhone Duo is Apple’s A20 Pro chip, supported by a vapour-cooled thermal system and a dual-battery design. Apple claims up to 44 hours of video playback using the outer display. The phone runs iOS 27.1, with software designed to take advantage of its foldable format.

For photography, the iPhone Duo features a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system with main and ultra-wide cameras, alongside 2x optical-quality zoom, macro photography, and 4K Dolby Vision video recording. A 12MP Center Stage front camera sits on the outer display, while an under-display camera handles video calls on the inside. There is no dedicated telephoto camera even though this is a premium phone.
