Singer Jubin Nautiyal Plugs Into Luxury, Buys BMW i7 Electric Car

Singer Jubin Nautiyal was all smiles as he took delivery of his latest big ticket purchase - the BMW i7 Luxury Electric Sedan. With this move, Jubin did not just go electric, he actually ended up boosting a social cause, by purchasing a pre-owned car. He may well be indicating his heart is in the right place by promoting sustainability and reducing his carbon footprint. Be that as it may, a short video showed Jubin was all smiles as the car, along with a bouquet, was handed to him by what appeared to be the pre-owned luxury car dealership BigBoyToyz in a a residential area. It also showed the singer taking the car for a short drive around the area.

When new, BMW i7's price is Rs 2.05 crore. What the singer paid for it would have been a smaller amount, but the same was not mentioned. A used i7 car's price in India could see as much as Rs 60 lakh saved off. With this purchase, Jubin seems to have jumped on the same bandwagon as some other celebrities like Ajay Devgn, Shekhar Suman, Kim Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan too has been seen driving the i7.

The car is big, bold and electric too boot! It has a 31.3-inch 8K theatre screen, 5.5" touchscreens to operate the infotainment system, a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround system that provides a 4D sound experience with its 36 coordinated loudspeakers. Importantly, the car can be charged at BMW Wallbox or at public charging stations.

And now for the most important part - the range. Well, you will not be looking for charging stations on the road simply because the car-maker actually touts a range of approximately 515–624 km, depending on road conditions, vehicle equipment, load and driving style.

For those who justifiably equate BMW with speed as much as they do with safety, here are more figures to chew on. The car (BMW i7 xDrive60 Limousine) accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. And if you are someone who is regularly bitten by the travel bug, know that the boot has more than enough luggage space to carry most of what you need.
