If your idea of a SUV is all about luxury and performance, not necessarily in that order, then check out the latest vehicle that Land Rover has rolled out in India - the Range Rover Sport SV. The SUV redefines luxury from the get-go which is clear as soon as you see the shining, but refined contours and colours that it sports. If you want an everyday luxury drive, then you should check out what this machine offers. The Range Rover Sport SC price in India is Rs 2.05 crore (ex-showroom). Notably, Land Rover has made it much more accessible at this point as the next higher version of the vehicle costs as much as Rs 30 lakh more. We are referring to the SV Edition Two. In case you want to preorder, after checking out the details below, of course, know that bookings have been thrown open. However, you will have to wait to get your hands on it as the first deliveries are expected around August 2026. Which should suit most as that is the time when the festive season starts to warm up, leading up to Diwali.
The vehicle has an aggressive stance, touts bold aesthetics and stands out even from a distance - its unique characteristics are made clear through prominent SV badges, a huge rear spoiler followed by quad exhausts. The car-maker will spoil you for choice, as far as colours are concerned. You can pick Matte Orange, Gloss Blue, Satin Green, Gloss Teal and Matte Violet. However, the roof of the SUV is black. And you won't have to go looking for special rims as the manufacturer provides unique 22-inch forged alloy wheels.
While that is from the outside, the inside is simply luxurious to behold, touch and feel. It sports perforated Windsor leather seats that are spotlighted by a sliding panoramic sunroof, which we are told have been specially designed for Indian conditions. This large SUV has a sound system to match - the Meridian signature system.
Well, you have seen the looks from the outside to in, and now check out what really makes the Range Rover Sport SV tick - the engine. It has a massive 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine. The power-package delivers 635 hp and 750 Nm of torque. It also packs an all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission. So, how fast can it accelerate? Well, the car-maker says it can get you from zero to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds.
While that is as far as speed goes, for stability, the Range Rover Sport SV has a 6D Dynamics suspension, and a hydraulically interlinked setup that minimises pitch and roll. In Indian conditions, that means superior road grip and handling, making for one safe and smooth ride.
