Mercedes-Benz has had a busy 2026 in India. From its new-generation electric CLA and long-wheelbase V-Class to an updated S-Class and a new AMG hybrid, the brand has already added several significant models this year. There is more on the way too, with the GLC Electric scheduled to arrive before the year is out. Here are 7 new Mercedes-Benz cars shaping the luxury vehicle scene in India in 2026.

7 New Mercedes-Benz Luxury Cars in 2026

Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric

The Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric has returned to India with a major change: there is no combustion engine this time. Launched in April priced upwards of ₹55 lakh, the electric sedan is now Mercedes-Benz India's entry point. The range-topping CLA 250+ Long Range claims up to 792km on the WLTP cycle, while the car also introduces Mercedes' new MB.OS operating system to the Indian market.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class Extra LWB

For buyers who believe the back seat should feel more like a private lounge, there's the V-Class Extra Long Wheelbase. Relaunched in March at ₹1.40 crore, the six-seat luxury MPV stretches to 5,370mm and gets a 3,430mm wheelbase. AIRMATIC suspension, individual luxury seats and generous cabin space make this one Mercedes designed around the passengers rather than the driver.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Mercedes' flagship sedan received a substantial update in June, arriving in India from ₹2.20 crore. The major change is the introduction of the S 450e plug-in hybrid, which produces 435hp and offers a claimed electric-only range of up to 115km. Inside, there's also a new Superscreen and expanded AI-enabled technology.

Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+

The E-Class gets considerably more serious about performance with the AMG E 53 Hybrid 4MATIC+. Introduced in July, the Performance Edition starts at ₹1.45 crore, while the Racing Edition is priced at ₹1.48 crore. Its plug-in-hybrid powertrain combines a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six with electric assistance for a combined 585hp.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS Celebration Edition

Mercedes began 2026 at the extravagant end of its portfolio with the Maybach GLS Celebration Edition. Priced at ₹4.10 crore, it adds exclusive detailing and an elaborate four-seat cabin to the Maybach SUV. Mercedes also announced local production of the Maybach GLS in India, with the regular model starting at ₹2.75 crore.

Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV Celebration Edition

The electric flagship SUV received its own Celebration Edition in January. Prices start at ₹1.34 crore for the five-seat version and ₹1.48 crore for the seven-seater. The EQS SUV combines a large 122kWh battery with Mercedes' luxury-focused electric interior, while the seven-seat version claims up to 809km of range.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric

The GLC Electric is the one major arrival still waiting in the wings. Mercedes-Benz India will open bookings in the first week of October, with the launch scheduled for the end of 2026. The GLC 400 4MATIC will use a 94kWh battery, dual motors and all-wheel drive, with a claimed 715km WLTP range and 490hp.

Six of these seven cars have already reached Indian customers, while the GLC Electric is still to come. Together, they show how broad Mercedes-Benz's luxury portfolio has become: compact electric sedans, chauffeur-focused MPVs, plug-in hybrids, flagship sedans, Maybach SUVs and full-size electric models. In other words, there is considerably more happening at Mercedes-Benz in 2026 than just another new SUV.

Note: Mercedes-Benz car prices mentioned in this article are subject to change and may vary depending on the variant, location and applicable taxes or charges.
