TakaHisa, one of Dubai’s most celebrated Japanese restaurants, is bringing its experience to the capital city in a monumental collaboration with Swan, Delhi. The event is a cultural and creative blend bringing two of the most renowned chefs—Chef Takashi Namekata (Sushi Master at TakaHisa) and Chef Krishna Sharma (Culinary Director at Swan)—to curate something unique: a rare chance to witness world-class Omakase in India. This two-night dinner is available by reservation and has limited seating, as each dish is crafted with rare ingredients and fine attention to detail.

TakaHisa Dubai is a highly acclaimed Japanese fine dining restaurant in Dubai and is known for its authentic food and finest ingredients, sourced directly from Japan. The restaurant is named after its two head chefs – Takashi Namekata and Hisao Ueda – who have carefully crafted the menu featuring an exquisite selection of Japan's best dishes.

Notably, TakaHisa was ranked 41 on the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list, received three toques in the Gault & Millau 2025 awards, and was included in the Michelin Guide Dubai 2024, all of which emphasise the restaurant’s global recognition for its excellence and accomplishments. Known for its minimalist purity, spiritual calm, and show-stopping skill, TakaHisa’s Omakase experience is widely regarded as one of the finest in the region.

This dinner coming to the national capital is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as the guests will be provided a deep cultural experience through the narration of the story behind each meal served on their plate. Each course will be introduced through live storytelling that highlights the philosophy, origin, and cultural significance behind the dish, with the presence of both chefs interacting with the guests.

Special ingredients will be flown in to keep the dishes authentic, such as uni, bluefin tuna and A5 Kobe beef, and will be handled with utmost precision and attention to detail. Each dish will give guests that authentic taste that will make them feel they are actually sitting in Japan.

The venue enhances the overall experience, as Swan is one of the most loved restaurants in Delhi, located in the Mehrauli area, known for having a bunch of well-known spots. The restaurant offers Nikkei cuisine—a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian culinary traditions—with highlights such as fresh sushi, sashimi, and other great dishes curated by their chef, Krishna Sharma. Recently awarded three stars by Culinary Competition, Swan has become a sought-after destination for progressive menus, immersive service, and design-forward hospitality. The place is known for its amazing hospitality and relaxed vibe. The view of Qutub Minar in the background adds to the whole luxury vibe of the cultural fusion feeling.

Speaking about the upcoming experience, Zorawar Kalra, Founder & Managing Director of Massive Restaurants, says in an issued statement: “It’s not just a collaboration—it’s a cultural and culinary moment.” He also goes on to say that, “We’ve always believed in bringing the world to India, and India to the world. TakaHisa is revered across the globe for its discipline, refinement, and artistry. To host them at Swan, which has fast become one of Delhi’s most talked-about dining destinations, is an honour. This isn’t just a meal—it’s a moment of elevation for our dining culture.”

It’s an experience curated for people who love exclusivity and art, along with a love for food, and the whole event will give a taste of the fine dining of Japan.
