October 2026 is shaping up to be a particularly interesting month for luxury hotel openings. From leopard country in Rajasthan to a new address on Rome’s Via Veneto and a wellness retreat overlooking Lake Travis, the latest arrivals are less about simply adding another luxurious address and more about creating a reason to travel. These luxury hotels opening around the world in October 2026 are worth bookmarking now, especially if your idea of a holiday involves spectacular settings, serious design and a room you may not want to leave.
If you like your luxury with a side of wildlife, Bookmark Resorts Cheetahgarh has plenty going for it. Set beside Rotela Lake in Jawai, the 20-key retreat is surrounded by the region's granite hills and leopard habitat. Its experiences include leopard safaris, birdwatching and visits to nearby Rabari villages, while the resort itself adds a spa, pool and waterside dining.
The property opened on October 1, 2026.

Ranthambore gets another reason to pack the binoculars. Vojara is a 10-suite safari lodge in Bhadlao village, created with a focus on wildlife and photography. Its suites range from 700 square feet to 1,100 square feet, while a spa, pool and The Boma dining experience provide plenty of comfort after a day in the national park.
Vojara is scheduled to open in October 2026.

Rome already has enough glamour to fill several lifetimes, but Experimental Roma is adding another dose. Housed in a former bank just off Via Veneto, the 82-room hotel takes inspiration from the era of La Dolce Vita, with interiors by Rodolphe Parente, a rooftop pool and a restaurant by chef Giovanni Passerini.
Experimental confirms an opening date of October 10, 2026.

For travellers who consider wellness the ultimate luxury, Canyon Ranch Austin arrives on October 15. Spread across more than 600 acres beside Lake Travis, the resort will feature a 40,000-square-foot spa, fitness facilities, pools, wellness programming and all-inclusive dining.
The official starting rate is US$1,193 per person per night for double occupancy, excluding taxes. Single occupancy starts at US$1,325.
Kuala Lumpur is getting a new grand address with Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur, which marks the brand's debut in Malaysia. The 23-storey hotel will feature 268 all-suite accommodations, ranging from 80-square-metre suites to a spectacular 745-square-metre Waldorf Astoria Suite.
The hotel will also feature restaurants involving chefs Garima Arora and Jean-Georges Vongerichten, plus a Waldorf Astoria Spa, outdoor pool and more than 3,700 square metres of event space. It opens on October 30, 2026.
