Between July 21 and 27, 2025, Sabyasachi High Jewellery will take centre stage at Harrods, London, in a private showcase. Given that Mukherjee's every creation distils the soul of India's artisanal legacy, an intimate and opulent collection exclusively curated for this historic collaboration is expected.
This showcase will spotlight Sabyasachi's signature design vocabularies: Bengal Royale and Bengal Byzantine Broadway.
With Bengal Royale, the jewellery house revisits the golden era of 1920s Calcutta, a cultural crossroad where Mughal motifs, Bengali craftsmanship and European craftsmanship collide. Bengal Byzantine Broadway, meanwhile, redefines opulence from the East-meets-West lens. It is marked by the craftsmanship of Bengal and Byzantine influences.
As Sabyasachi's high jewellery creations from the two collections prepare to grace the halls of Harrods, one of the world's most revered luxury destinations, expectations naturally run high.
We delve into our favourite creations from the storied collections that Robb Report India believes deserve the Harrods spotlight.
The Mangrove Bracelet

This one draws its soul from Bengal's Sundarbans, where land and water entwine in quiet, capturing nature in its most poetic form. Handcrafted in 18k gold, adorned with multicoloured gemstones and EF VVS-VS grade diamonds, the bracelet brings together the precision of high jewellery with the intricacy of nature.
The Bengal Tiger Necklace

In true Mukherjee fashion, the piece has leaping Bengal tigers, sculpted in gold and hand-engraved by the brand’s most skilled artisans. Anchoring the piece is a striking 109.95-carat Zambian emerald, crowned with a rare 5.06-carat old mine cut diamond. It is framed by the House's signature palm-fringed hyper champa motif. Interestingly, this necklace was the first to be created for this collection. Studded with multicoloured organic gemstones and brilliant-cut diamonds, it is a celebration of power and provenance.
The Baghbazar Necklace

An ode to the enduring glamour of Kolkata, The Baghbazar Necklace is a masterwork in gemstone storytelling and craftsmanship. Meticulously handcrafted in gold, the necklace is anchored by 130.24 carats of emeralds, a single 26.23 carat yellow sapphire, and old mine and brilliant-cut diamonds. The necklace holds a hidden treasure: the brand's signature, Bengal’s traditional filigree craftsmanship. This one stands as a tribute to both legacy and luxury.
The Esplanade Necklace

When Sabyasachi first laid eyes on four pairs of rubellites, showstoppers of this composition, it sparked a vision. He imagined a necklace built on balance and contrast, where no two rubellites were alike in shape or cut, yet all came together in perfect harmony. At its heart, the Esplanade holds 222.33 carats of rubellites, set in gold and crowned with old mine and brilliant-cut diamonds.
The Celestial Nine

Rooted in centuries of Indian tradition, the Navaratna, a constellation of nine sacred gemstones has long held a place of reverence among jewellery connoisseurs in the country. The Celestial Nine is a reinterpretation of the Navaratna through Sabyasachi’s lens. “There’s a certain beauty in the hierarchy of precious stones—mixing them in a fierce amalgamation of modernity and traditionalism,” the designer reflects.
Our favourites are in but as for what pieces make it to the grand showcase, time will unfold that story.
