The Big-Day Glow-Up: 7 Luxe Treatments Brides Are Splurging On

Once upon a time, “bridal skincare” meant a facial at the neighbourhood salon a few days before the wedding. Today, bridal treatments earn their keep in 4K wedding films and unforgiving candids. Top dermatologists share the most popular medical procedures brides-to-be are opting for.

In the age of Instagram filters and 4K video, every inch of a bride’s face is scrutinised and every flaw is defined. It’s no wonder that today’s brides are signing up for ultrasound machines to sculpt their jawlines, going for injectables with hyaluronic acid, taking IV drips for stamina through sangeet rehearsals, and luxe facials that make their face shine without an Instagram filter.

“There’s definitely been a shift towards more results-driven, medical-grade treatments,” says Tanya Khubchandani Vatsa, founder of Elixir Wellness in Mumbai. “Today’s brides are well-informed and asking for HIFU, PDRN skin boosters, and laser facials instead of regular clean-ups or spa facials. Some even plan a full rejuvenation protocol that includes IV drips, PRP, and RF tightening.”

At The Wellness Co., Dr Garima Gaur, Chief Wellness Officer, is seeing the same curve. “They’re optimising how they look, feel, and perform,” she says. “These therapies go beyond surface-level beauty, restoring vitality and radiance from within.”

When it comes to looking their best, brides are leaving no stone unturned to glow on their big day. Here are the most luxe beauty treatments they are going for this season.

1. High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

For that perfectly contoured look

If there’s one phrase you’ll hear in luxury skin clinics right now, it’s HIFU. It’s the non-surgical facelift brides are booking months before their big day. “HIFU tightens and lifts skin using ultrasound energy, working deep into the dermal layers for contouring and firmness,” explains Tanya. It stimulates collagen and elastin production, resulting in a more defined jawline and sculpted cheekbones.

This is not a casual splurge – but for many, the idea of a sharper profile that photographs like a filter (without being one) is worth the investment. Think of it as the bridal version of commissioning custom couture, but for your face.

  • When to book it: 4-6 weeks before the wedding

  • Price: About Rs 45,000 per sitting

2. PDRN (Salmon DNA)

For that “glassy skin” look

If HIFU is about architecture, PDRN therapy is about texture and light. This is a cosmetic procedure that uses Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), a compound extracted from salmon DNA, to rejuvenate the skin by promoting tissue repair and regeneration.

The treatment works by stimulating cell growth and collagen production, which can improve skin texture, elasticity, and hydration while reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.

“PDRN results are fabulous, including and not limited to brighter tone, refined texture, and improved healing of acne marks or dullness,” says Tanya.

  • When to book it: 1-2 months before the wedding

  • Price: About Rs 20,000 per session

3. Hyaluronic Acid Skin Boosters

For that plump, dewy, natural look

Hyaluronic acid is known for its powerful ability to hydrate skin, and is now widely found in serums, sunscreens, and night creams. But what if you were given a dose right into your skin? The result is soft, plump, bouncy skin that looks years younger.

“Hyaluronic acid injections deeply hydrate from within and boost elasticity, bounce, and glow,” Tanya explains. “Two sessions, 3–4 weeks apart, leave the skin plumper and naturally radiant, even without makeup.”

The treatment not only benefits the skin but also the makeup. Foundation sits better, fine lines soften, and the face reflects light the way a well-cut stone should.

  • When to book it: 2 months before the wedding

  • Price: About Rs 40,000-60,000 per session

4. HydraFacial & CryoFacial

For a lifted and luminous complexion

“Brides are increasingly opting for advanced, science-led therapies that deliver both instant results and long-term skin health benefits,” says Dr Gaur.

Both HydraFacial and CryoFacial go far beyond traditional cleansing; they act as intensive skin therapy. “The HydraFacial uses vortex technology to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse skin with active serums for instant radiance and hydration. CryoFacial, on the other hand, uses controlled cold therapy to tighten pores, reduce puffiness, and boost collagen. Together, they create the glass-skin glow that every bride desires,” explains Dr Gaur.

  • When to book it: 4 months before the wedding
Price: About Rs 12,000 and up per session

5. Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy

For a healthy, radiant glow that builds over time

Nicknamed the “liquid gold facial”, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is another favourite for brides who want visible rejuvenation without synthetic fillers.

“PRP uses your own platelets to stimulate collagen production and skin regeneration,” explains Dr Gaur. “Unlike quick-fix facials, it works at a cellular level to rejuvenate the skin from within, offering long-lasting glow and firmness.”

Over time, you see smoother texture, better elasticity, and a more even, radiant tone. This therapy is less about instant results and more about how your skin looks six months down the line—on honeymoon, at anniversaries, and every photo that follows.

  • When to book it: 3 months before the wedding

  • Price: About Rs 12,000 and up per session

6. IV Drips

For those who want a natural, lit-from-within glow

Customised nutrient infusions—stacked with vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids—are now standard on many bridal menus. “Our bridal IV drips help with hydration, immunity, and energy levels,” says Dr Gaur. They’re ideal for brides juggling fittings, functions, and late nights, as they build stamina and inner radiance.

These drips are less spa and more performance-enhancer: an endurance plan in an armchair, often served with herbal tea and a Netflix recommendation.

  • When to book it: 3 months before the wedding

  • Price: About Rs 7,000 and up per session

7. Sculpt, Tighten, Tone

Get your dream body on your big day

Face aside, the body is now firmly in pre-bridal territory too. Energy-based devices like CryoEMS and TeslaSculpt combine cold therapy and electrical muscle stimulation to tone, contour, and firm. “CryoEMS sculpts the body, enhances lymphatic drainage and triggers fat metabolism, while activating deep muscle fibres,” says Dr Gaur. Brides love the inch-loss and lifted appearance, without the downtime of more invasive options.

Tanya is seeing demand for RF + micro needling systems and newer red-light and hyperbaric oxygen therapies—especially among destination brides who want their skin and body to hold up across multiple cities and climates. These are typically sold as packages rather than one-offs, and total spends can easily cross six figures when combined with face work.
