RR Circle

Meet Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi, Member of RR Circle

RR Circle is the first advisory board by Robb Report India; and author Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi joins the board as a member.

A conversation with author Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi reveals a man of carefully chosen words, each strung together to offer a contemplative view on life and its quiet luxuries. He has done much to garner adoration from around the world: his international bestseller, The Last Song of Dusk, has been translated into 18 languages and won him the Betty Trask Award and the Premio Grinzane Cavour Prize. His latest work, tracing love and loss in a collection of essays titled Loss, created headlines for a moving expression of life’s biggest truths. But for Shanghvi, the true prize of life lies in attaining peace over power, with a focus on keeping things simple.

The avid traveller divides his time between Mumbai and Goa, and on his getaways, finds this ethos guiding him wherever he goes. His love for clear, thoughtful experiences manifests in the form of his favourite brands: “The Aman hotels, at most locations, invariably cheer me up. A safari, clean air, and the company of friends is special to me.” It’s this deliberate sense of privacy, and conscious focus on service, that he wishes to see more in the Indian landscape of indulgence. Because, “If it’s not conscious, is it luxury?”

Introducing the first advisory board for Robb Report India, the RR Circle brings together leading voices across luxury to guide, curate, and define the future of experiences in India.
