The other is the petrol variant – X5 xDrive40i, which has a 3-litre twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine that puts out 381hp and 520Nm of max torque. This petrol-powered variant carries a sticker that says Rs. 1,00,30,000, ex-showroom. Both get an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Both variants will also feature the newly introduced M Sport Pro Package.
While the X5 xDrive30d M Sport Pro costs Rs. 1,15,00,000, the X5 xDrive40i M Sport Pro costs Rs. 1,13,00,000. Both prices are ex-showroom. For extra cash, owners of the M Sport Pro Packages will get high-gloss black elements in the signature kidney grille, air breathers, and tailpipe trims. They will also get the M Sport exhaust and red painted brake callipers. On the inside, there is a piano black dashboard and M seat belts too.
The new xOffroad Package
An off-road rocker switch on the center console gives the driver the choice to select any of the four off-road driving modes (xSand, xRocks, xGravel, xSnow); accordingly, the vehicle’s off-road capability is optimised. It automatically determines the ideal vehicle height settings, xDrive system, acceleration response and transmission control, and corrective inputs of the DSC system when you need to drive on sand, rocks, gravel, or snow. The vehicle also gets reinforced underbody protection with the Off-Road package, which further adds to the robustness of the BMW X5.
A specially optimised display for off-road driving in the Central Information Display informs the driver about various parameters like vehicle ground clearance and roll tendency, inclination, or downhill gradient of the off-road section. Furthermore, the xOffroad camera view supports the driver in narrow off-road sections, providing a perfect all-around view of the vehicle.
The X5 features an innovative, fully curved digital display with a 12.3-inch display behind the steering wheel for instrument data and a 14.9-inch display for infotainment. Both the driver and co-passenger now get comfort seats with fully electric adjustments, including lumbar support. To keep occupants ensconced in comfort, the X5 rides on standard adaptive air suspension, which offers a combination of both top-drawer ride quality as well as dynamic abilities.
