Mercedes-Benz India has unveiled the all-new G 450d, marking the first time the G-Class is available in diesel, petrol, and electric powertrains in India. This diversification enhances the appeal of the iconic SUV, catering to every G-Class customer’s preference. With its legendary design ethos and modern engineering, the G 450d balances performance, luxury, and practicality, solidifying the G-Class’s enduring status.

Performance and Powertrain Excellence

The four-wheeled marvel is powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine, delivering 270 kW and 750 Nm of torque. Incorporating 48V Mild Hybrid technology with a 15-kW assist, it accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, achieving a top speed of 210 km/h. This engine combines efficiency with raw power, meeting sustained customer demand for diesel while ensuring a dynamic driving experience across all terrains.

This touring machine retains the G-Class’s unmistakable silhouette while introducing a refreshed front bumper, four vertical louvers in the air inlets, new A-pillar cladding, and a roof-edge spoiler lip. Built on a proven ladder-frame chassis with three mechanical differential locks, independent double wishbone front suspension, and a rigid rear axle, it delivers exceptional off-road performance. High ground clearance, long-travel suspension, 100% gradeability, and a maximum fording depth of 70 cm underscore its legendary terrain conquering capability.
