Audi is opening the next chapter of its compact luxury SUV story in India. The third-generation Audi Q3 is now available to book for ₹100000, giving prospective buyers an early chance to secure the latest iteration before its official launch. Audi Q3 bookings opened on September 1 through the Audi India website, the myAudi Connect app and authorised dealerships, while the final India price is expected to be announced next month.
This is more than a cosmetic update. The new Audi Q3 gets a larger footprint, sharper proportions and a more contemporary interpretation of Audi's SUV design language. At 4,531mm long, 1,859mm wide and 1,623mm high, with a 2,681mm wheelbase, it is larger than the outgoing model. The front-end design brings split LED lighting, a wider grille and Audi’s flatter 2D logo, while 18-inch alloys add to its more substantial stance.
Inside, the Audi Q3 moves decisively towards Audi’s latest digital cabin aesthetic. The dashboard combines an 11.9-inch digital instrument display with a 12.8-inch touchscreen, while equipment includes a Sonos sound system, panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting and a 360-degree camera. The gear selector has also moved to a stalk behind the steering wheel, leaving the centre console cleaner and more spacious.
Under the bonnet, the Audi Q3 gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 204hp and 320Nm. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi claims a 0–100kph time of 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 229kph.
The Q3 will continue to occupy Audi's entry point into the luxury SUV segment, taking on rivals including the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. Audi has not yet announced the Indian price, although current estimates place it around ₹55–60 lakh ex-showroom. That figure should be treated strictly as an estimate until the company confirms it.
For now, the ₹100000 Audi Q3 booking amount is the only number buyers need to know. The more interesting figure is the price that Audi puts on this substantially reworked Q3, which will arrive next month.
