Raaya by Atmosphere Brings an Explorer’s Spirit to the Maldives

Deep in the Raa Atoll, Maldives, Raaya by Atmosphere pairs five-star seclusion and all-inclusive packages with an explorer’s narrative.

Reaching Raaya by Atmosphere is an experience in itself: a 45-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport, Malé, over reef and open water, and finally into the Raa Atoll. Here, the story of Seb, an explorer, artist, and adventurer who was shipwrecked on the island, comes to life through the Island Explorer Programme which invites guests to retrace his footsteps and uncover the stories woven into his remarkable journey. The island has 167 villas, split between beach and overwater settings. Whichever villa a guest chooses, the essentials stay consistent. The sprawling rooms offer privacy, as well as direct access to the water or the greenery just outside. With the Raaya Plan, the resort bundles dining and beverages, island activities, wellness sessions, and ocean experiences into one all-inclusive package.

At Seb’s Farm, guests can pick their own produce from organic gardens.

Food is where the island’s range shows most clearly. Raaya Life has live cooking stations serving international flavours. The Village offers Italian, Mizaj leans into Middle Eastern flavours, and Ampers&nd works its way through contemporary Pan Asian dishes. For something more casual, Seb’s Shack offers barefoot beachside dining with light bites, snacks, and drinks overlookin the ocean. Conscious dining outlet Seb’s Farm closes the distance between the kitchen and where its ingredients come from. Guests can explore the organic gardens through farm tours and harvest experiences, seeing first hand how seasonal produce makes its way from the garden to plate. Beyond the table, the island has coral reefs and marine life sitting just offshore, reachable through snorkelling or diving, while sailing, fishing, and sunset outings pull guests further into the water.

Some Beach Villas have their own private pool.

On land, padel courts, mini golf, yoga sessions, guided walks await. Seb’s Artist Zone gives the creatively inclined somewhere to work and fashion their own wooden boats, and the Discovery Den Kids’ Club keeps younger guests just as occupied. Tying it all together is the same explorer’s spirit the resort finds its inspiration from.
