The collection ranges from the sporty Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167A-014 and two Patek Philippe Calatravas to the complicated Ref. 5978P-010 and two five-piece Patek Philippe World Time Minute Repeaters depicting Milan by day and night. Luxury watches are continuing to draw attention to themselves and Patek Philippe has become the latest to do so with its new collection. In fact, Patek Philippe has arrived in Milan with more than a travelling exhibition. For its Watch Art Grand Exhibition 2026, the Geneva watchmaker has unveiled 7 limited-edition timepieces created exclusively for the event, with production ranging from 250 pieces to just five. Every watch features a sapphire-crystal caseback inscribed 'Patek Philippe Milano 2026'. The collection moves from sporty Aquanaut territory to some of Patek Philippe's most complicated creations.

Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167A-014

The sportiest of the seven, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5167A-014 pairs a 40.8mm stainless-steel case with a blue sunburst dial fading to black at the edges, punctuated by red accents. It runs on the self-winding Calibre 26-330 S C and Patek Philippe is producing just 250 pieces, making this the most plentiful if 'plentiful' is a word one can use for a Patek limited edition of the Milan 7.

Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 7007G-010

The Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 7007G-010 proves that understated doesn't have to mean boring. Its 38mm white-gold case frames a crisp white lacquered dial, but look closer and there is a carbon-inspired pattern at its centre. Anthracite-coloured white-gold hands and markers add a subtle technical edge, while a white alligator strap keeps things firmly in Calatrava territory. Powered by the self-winding Calibre 26-330 S C, it features a date and central seconds and is limited to 200 pieces.

Things get considerably more complicated and considerably greener with the Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 7147G-010. This 38mm white-gold Calatrava swaps the previous model's white dial for a rich green lacquered version, again featuring a carbon-patterned centre. But the real attraction is underneath: the watch houses Patek Philippe's self-winding Calibre 240 Q, delivering a full perpetual calendar. Only 100 pieces will be made.

Patek Philippe Ref. 5978P-010

And now for the headline act. The Patek Philippe Ref. 5978P-010 combines two of Patek Philippe's most serious complications a chronograph and an instantaneous perpetual calendar in a 42mm platinum case. Patek Philippe has combined its manually wound chronograph movement with an instantaneous perpetual calendar for the first time, resulting in the new CH 29-535 PS QI calibre. The watch is limited to 120 pieces only.

Patek Philippe Ref. 7047G-010

If five watches isn't exclusive enough, Patek Philippe has also brought some automotive-inspired drama to Milan. The Patek Philippe Ref. 7047G-010 is a 38mm white-gold minute repeater with a striking red lacquered dial. Its carbon-inspired centre is designed to evoke the bodywork of high-performance automobiles. Inside is the self-winding R 27 PS calibre. Production is limited to just five pieces.

Patek Philippe World Time Minute Repeater Ref. 5531G-012

The Patek Philippe World Time Minute Repeater watches turn Milan itself into part of the dial. Ref. 5531G-012 combines two of Patek Philippe's most impressive complications: World Time and a minute repeater. Its 40.2mm white-gold case receives hand-guilloché hobnail decoration, while the dial is crafted from cloisonné Grand Feu enamel. The production is limited to just five pieces.

Patek Philippe World Time Minute Repeater Ref. 5531G-013

The Patek Philippe World Time Minute Repeater Ref. 5531G-013 is the night-time counterpart to the 5531G-012. It uses the same World Time and minute-repeater combination, along with a hand-guilloche white-gold case measuring 40.2mm. As with the daytime version, production is limited to just five pieces.

Taken together, Patek Philippe's Milan collection is remarkably small, with just 685 pieces being produced across all watches. Each watch carries the 'Patek Philippe Milano 2026' inscription on its sapphire-crystal caseback, turning the watches into a permanent souvenir of their Milan debut. A great way for Patek Philippe to say 'ciao' to Milan.
