James Bond has always had an eye for good things in life and luxury watches are among them. And since GoldenEye in 1995, the relationship between Omega and 007 has become almost as recognisable as his Aston Martin. Across the years, Bond has worn different versions of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean and Omega Seamaster 300, with each era bringing its own interpretation of the quintessential spy watch. From the blue-dial Diver 300M worn by Pierce Brosnan to the lightweight titanium 007 Edition worn by Daniel Craig, these are some of the most memorable Omega watches to appear on his wrist. The James Bond-Omega story began with Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye (1995), where 007 wore the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Quartz, Ref. 2541.80.00. Its 41mm stainless-steel case, blue wave-pattern dial, and matching blue bezel established the look that would become closely associated with Bond's Omega era. Unlike the automatic references that followed, this version was powered by a quartz movement.
The blue Omega Seamaster returned for Pierce Brosnan's subsequent Bond films, but this time in automatic form. The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Ref. 2531.80.00 appeared in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002). It shares the familiar blue wave dial and blue bezel of the GoldenEye watch, but its automatic movement makes it a different reference altogether. Today, it remains one of the most recognisable Bond watches from the Brosnan era.
Daniel Craig's arrival as the new James Bond brought a tougher, more contemporary watch wardrobe. In Casino Royale (2006), Craig wore the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M, Ref. 2900.50.91, alongside a Seamaster Diver 300M. At 45.5mm, the black Omega Planet Ocean had a considerably more substantial presence than Brosnan's blue Diver 300M. Its black dial and bezel, helium escape valve and 600m water resistance gave it the character of a serious professional dive watch.
For Spectre in 2015, Omega created one of its most distinctive James Bond watches: the Omega Seamaster 300 007 Limited Edition, Ref. 233.32.41.21.01.001. Limited to 7,007 pieces, the watch features a black dial, lollipop seconds hand, bidirectional bezel and a distinctive black-and-grey striped NATO strap. Its design combined vintage military-watch cues with unmistakable 007 detailing. Theis Omega watch originally retailed for US$7,500, but its value has moved significantly on the collector market.
For No Time To Die, Omega took the James Bond Omega Seamaster in a decidedly more tactical direction with the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, Ref. 210.90.42.20.01.001. The 42mm Grade 2 titanium case keeps the watch lightweight, while the brown tropical aluminium dial and bezel give it a warmer, vintage-inspired appearance. A striped NATO strap completes the military-leaning look, with the design developed with Daniel Craig's Bond in mind.
The Bond and Omega story has now entered a new chapter with the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light, Ref. 210.32.44.51.01.002. It was inspired by the upcoming 007 First Light video game. The 44mm Omega watch marks a new direction for the James Bond Omega Seamaster Diver 300M partnership. It combines the collection's diving credentials with a chronograph and is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900. Unlike the previous watches on this list, this one is associated with a video game rather than a Bond film, giving the long-running Omega partnership a new digital-age twist.
