This year, the arrivals leaned heavily into everything ranging from chokers, brooches, archival-inspired pieces to sapphires so rare, the evening blinging with diamonds. Priyanka Chopra Jones dazzled in the Serpenti Illusio High Jewellery Necklace by Bvlgari. Designed and crafted over more than 1,300 hours as a sculptural illusion, the white gold piece features 235 individual elements, including a stunning 14.01-carat antique cushion-cut sapphire in a deep blue hue from Madagascar, pavé -set diamonds, buff-top emeralds, and onyx. Playing with perception, the jewellery reveals the silhouette of a serpent shaped like a modern bas-relief. Jonas completed the look with a high jewellery diamond ring and a matching pair of diamond earrings.
American singer and actress Teyana wore a necklace from Tiffany & Co. made entirely out of diamonds and platinum. The statement piece features 857 round brilliant diamonds (more than 60 carats), one emerald-cut diamond (over 18 carats), and 140 baguette diamonds (totalling over nine carats). Taylor also wore diamond rings and platinum earrings set with over 12 carats of diamonds.
Kate Hudson sparkled from head to toe at the red carpet, wearing jewellery featuring 41 carats of rare green diamond by Garratti. Worth $35 million (approx Rs 293 crore), the pieces included a custom-made necklace with a 16-carat green diamond, surrounded by 49.85 carats of white diamonds. The actress and songwriter rounded off her look with a pair of green diamond earrings and rings from the brand.
Anna Hathaway dazzled in the Neoclassical Starlight High Jewellery necklace inspired by the vintage beauty of Neoclassical sculpture. At the epicentre of the piece lies an 8.02-carat pear-cut Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond. Crafted over 850 hours, the gem is set in a detachable pendant and surrounded by a constellation of pear, round, and step-cut diamonds, totalling over 35 carats. Matching the necklace, Hathaway wore High Jewellery detachable earrings in white gold (over eight carats) with two pair fancy colour diamonds; 12 pear and round diamonds; two carré diamonds; and pavé-set diamonds, a High Jewellery ring in platinum with 2 cushion diamonds; 28 step cut diamonds; and pavé-set diamonds, and a high jewellery ring in platinum with one cushion fancy coloured diamond; 28 step cut diamonds; and pavé-set diamonds.
Bridgerton fame Charithra Chandran made a debut at the Oscars’ red carpet with an 18-carat white gold necklace from Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie Collection featuring diamonds dripping down the back. The actress paired the necklace with diamond earrings and a diamond ring from the brand’s L’Heure du Diamant Collection.
Isha Mukesh Ambani made her debut at the 98th Academy Awards wearing a statement jewellery from Lorraine Schwartz. Styled by Jamie Mizrahi, Isha opted for a choker set with pink and white drop diamond pendant featuring an inverted pear-shaped stone and two cushion-cut diamonds. To complete the look, she paired the necklace with drop earrings and rings, all from the label.
