Indian perfumery has taken a rather interesting turn as far as taking inspiration is concerned. Fragrances have been inspired by the first rain on warm earth, the Indian Ocean, and there is even a perfume that captures the feeling of finally clocking out at 5 PM. From homegrown niche fragrance houses to unexpected collaborations between music and beauty, 2026 has brought some interesting additions to India's perfume shelves. If you are looking to discover something new and interesting, here are 5 new Indian perfumes launched in 2026, including BEAUTIFUL INDIA Divine, NEESH Haute Vetiver, NEESH Tsunara, Contraband 5 PM Somewhere, and HEIR Kedara.
If a fragrance could bottle a little bit of India and a little bit of sunshine, BEAUTIFUL INDIA Divine would make an interesting attempt. The Eau de Parfum brings together jasmine sambac, Australian sandalwood and grapefruit from Spain, with a composition that opens on peach, grapefruit, orange blossom and cardamom. Then comes jasmine, white flowers, clary sage and benzoin, while sandalwood, musk, vanilla and amber. It is a floral-woody composition with some citrus involved.
BEAUTIFUL INDIA Divine is priced at ₹18,000.
The smell of the first rain hitting sun-warmed earth, that is the evocative starting point for the NEESH Haute Vetiver perfume. It takes that idea and gives it a woody, earthy interpretation. Created by master perfumer Julien Rasquinet, the extrait de parfum opens with cardamom, pink pepper, grapefruit and ginger. The heart brings together cacao, petrichor, geranium and angelica. The base is made of sandalwood, nagarmotha, cypress and vetiver.
NEESH Haute Vetiver is priced at ₹8,500.
Not a common citrus-and-aquatic affair, NEESH Tsunara is inspired by the smell of the Indian Ocean. On top of that, it builds a more powerful marine composition. Created by perfumer Kevin Mathys, the fragrance opens with lavender, ozonic notes, cyclamen and orange. Its heart combines marine notes with jasmine, banana and davana, before settling into a base of ambroxan, patchouli, cashmeran and amberwood. The aromatic aquatic fragrance also gets a a woody, musky finish.
NEESH Tsunara is priced at ₹7,990.
What is the best part of the workday? When it ends? For most, clocking out at 5pm is it. And Contraband has turned that feeling into a fragrance. Launched by Ananya Birla on October 18, 2026, 5 PM Somewhere is a fougere oriental Eau de Parfum that starts with bright bergamot and spice, moves into a lavender heart and finishes with creamy coconut and tonka. Its playful name is reason enough to look forward to the end of the day.
Contraband 5 PM Somewhere is priced at ₹4,700 for 100ml Eau de Parfum.
HEIR Kedara is an interesting addition to India's growing niche perfumery scene - it is all about the journey and not destination. Launched in July 2026 as part of HEIR's debut collection, the Eau de Parfum was created in collaboration with master perfumer Michael Aelfric Nordstrand. It opens with pink pepper and bergamot before moving into the green, woody character of hinoki, cedar and vetiver. There is also spikenard in the composition, adding an earthy dimension to the fragrance.
HEIR Kedara is priced at ₹4,500 for 50ml Eau de Parfum.
There is something new to discover this year and these perfume launches show just how varied Indian fragrances are becoming. And if your perfume shelf has been looking a little stale, 2026 might be a good time to get yourself a new signature scent.
