Those who want to focus on wellness could snap up a home with an on-site gym, a spa space, a meditation suite, and other features. Or you could move into a community completely built around those well-being ideals.
Velvaere, one such development in Park City, Utah, recently unveiled its first completed home, a $7.7 million spread fittingly dubbed Solace. The five-bedroom, 5.5-bath property spans just under 5,000 square feet. Interiors, courtesy of INC Architecture & Design, take inspiration from nature, with biophilic elements, desert tones, and calming woods throughout. Situated within Deer Valley Resort, the indoor-outdoor layout gives you stunning views of the Mountain West, too.
For every home, Velvaere is working with the International WELL Building Institute and Delos to build to the standards of WELL Certification, which measures various features that impact health and well-being. Along with standard additions such as circadian lighting and air and water filtration systems, you can also customize your home with further options. For example, Solace’s sanctuary space can be configured to include a dry sauna, a plunge bath, and other spa-like amenities.
Highlights include dramatic, asymmetrical slate-gray hoods for the gas fireplaces in the living room and the primary bedroom, as well as a picture window and patio access in a secondary bedroom. The mudroom is wired so that you can install ski-boot dryers, and an outdoor-kitchen package would allow you to add a pizza oven.
With Deer Valley being one of the country’s premier skiing destinations, there’s, of course, ski-in, ski-out access, along with an on-site chairlift to take you up to the slopes. The Adventure Center, meanwhile, is your home base for year-round activities like biking and hiking; there’s also an après ski beach and a family pool.
And, if you can’t get enough of all the wellness features at home, Velvaere has built up an entire wellness center that offers cryotherapy, a hyperbaric chamber, a floatation pool, IV therapy, and much more.
While Solace may be the first of the 115 residences finished within Velvaere, there are several other options, including a not-yet-completed $9.6 million five-bedroom abode and a $4.9 million slope-side lot where you can build your very own dream home.
