There is some good news for Scotch whisky drinkers. If the Glenlivet whisky has been sitting on your wish list for some time, October brings a great reason to act on it immediately. The Glenlivet whisky price cut applies to three whiskies from the Speyside distillery, which are getting cheaper from October 10, 2026, following reduction in Indian import duties on qualifying British whiskies. The Glenlivet 12 whisky, The Glenlivet 15 whisky, and The Glenlivet 18 Year Old whisky prices are being cut in Uttar Pradesh and you can save up to ₹1210 on a bottle. That means a little more room in the budget for a fruity everyday whisky, a richer oak-influenced single malt whisky, or an older Scotch whisky to bring out when the evening calls for something special.
Every good whisky collection needs a dependable bottle, and The Glenlivet 12 Year Old whisky makes a strong case for that spot. This Speyside single malt whisky is known for its fresh, fruit-forward style, with pineapple, pear, and citrus notes balanced by vanilla and a gentle sweetness. It is approachable without being dull, making it a natural choice for those getting into single malts as well as seasoned drinkers who want an easy pour without too much ceremony.
The Glenlivet 12 Year Old whisky price will fall from ₹3710 to ₹3300 for 700ml in Uttar Pradesh.
For those who like their single malt whisky with a more character, The Glenlivet 15 Year Old whisky brings French oak into the conversation. Its selective French oak maturation adds warmth and spice to the distillery's fruit-led style, creating a richer profile with notes of ripe fruit, creamy sweetness, nuts, and gentle spice. Think of it as the bottle to reach for when your usual 12-year-old feels a little too familiar, and you want something with more depth.
The Glenlivet 15 Year Old whisky price will fall from ₹5090 to ₹4340 for 700ml in Uttar Pradesh.
The Glenlivet 18 Year Old whisky is the bottle for a slower evening. With more time in the cask, this single malt develops a layered character of dried fruit, orange, toffee, spice and oak, while retaining the distillery's signature fruitiness. It is a more mature, contemplative pour for those who enjoy exploring how age and cask influence a whisky's flavour.
The Glenlivet 18 Year Old whisky price will fall from ₹6800 to ₹5590 for 700ml in Uttar Pradesh. That is a saving of ₹1210, the largest reduction among these three expressions.
The whisky price cuts follow the signing of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which has reduced India's import duty on qualifying British whisky from 150 per cent to 75 per cent in July 2026. The benefits are now beginning to show up in Uttar Pradesh's revised whisky prices, although the actual savings vary by bottle and state taxes.
Of the three Glenlivet expressions, the Glenlivet 18 Year Old whisky gets the biggest reduction at ₹1210, while the Glenlivet 15 Year Old whisky saves ₹750 and the Glenlivet 12 Year Old whisky comes down by ₹410. It is a welcome change for single malt whisky drinkers. Just remember, these revised Glenlivet prices apply to Uttar Pradesh; other states may have different pricing depending on their policies.
Note: These are revised whisky prices in Uttar Pradesh, effective October 10, 2026.
