The Rare Find Autumn 2026 Whisky Collection is less about chasing a single house style and more about seeing how four very different Scotch whisky bottles respond to carefully chosen wood. The Edinburgh independent bottler has selected single casks of Clynelish 8 Year Old, Ben Nevis 12 Year Old, Laphroaig 14 Year Old and Mortlach 16 Year Old, all bottled at natural strength, with ABVs stretching from 54.6% to 61.0%. Cask choices range from refill sherry to first-fill Oloroso, with the collection designed to add depth without hiding the character of each distillery. Here are the 4 whiskies revealed recently, their prices, ABVs, cask details and Rare Find's tasting notes.

Clynelish 8 Year Old Whisky

Clynelish brings this whisky collection's highest alcohol strength and its lightest cask influence. This eight-year-old single malt was matured in a refill sherry hogshead, allowing the distillery's waxy, textural character to remain prominent. Rare Find's notes point towards red and black berries, chocolate-dipped strawberry, pastry, iced buns and lemon, finishing with sweet fruit and delicate spice. The Clynelish 8 Year Old whisky outturn is just 305 bottles.

  • ABV: 61.0%

  • Cask: Refill sherry hogshead

  • Outturn: 305 bottles

  • Clynelish 8 Year Old Whisky Price: £69.

Ben Nevis 12 Year Old Whisky

The Ben Nevis 12 Year Old whisky takes a richer route. Matured in a first-fill Oloroso quarter cask, it combines the distillery's robust spirit with a concentrated sherry influence. Rare Find describes a profile of leafy sherry, hedgerow berries, sultanas and shortbread on the nose, followed by chocolate, butterscotch, cinnamon and pepper. Only 167 of these whisky bottles were produced, making it the smallest outturn in the collection.

  • ABV: 56.6%

  • Cask: First-fill Oloroso quarter cask

  • Outturn: 167 bottles

  • Ben Nevis 12 Year Old Whisky Price: £79.

Laphroaig 14 Year Old Whisky

For peat drinkers, the Laphroaig 14 Year Old whisky is the most distinctive release of the four. Its first-fill Oloroso hogshead adds dried-fruit depth to the familiar Islay combination of iodine, brine, smoke and sea spray. Rare Find's tasting profile moves from medicinal peat and coastal salinity towards sweeter fruit before a long, drying finish. There are 217 bottles, with a considerably higher £155 price reflecting its age, distillery and cask character.

  • ABV: 56.2%

  • Cask: First-fill Oloroso hogshead

  • Outturn: 217 bottles

  • Laphroaig 14 Year Old Whisky Price: £155.

Mortlach 16 Year Old Whisky

At 16 years old, Mortlach brings the richest, most mature profile of the collection, with a first-fill European oak Oloroso hogshead adding layers of plum, ginger, cinnamon, orange oil and chocolate to the distillery's character. The single cask produced just 268 bottles, making the Mortlach 16 Year Old whisky a limited release for collectors and drinkers who prefer a fuller combination of fruit, spice and oak.

  • ABV: 54.6%

  • Cask: First-fill European oak Oloroso hogshead

  • Outturn: 268 bottles

  • Mortlach 16 Year Old Whisky Price: £115.

With four distilleries, four distinct cask styles and limited outturns, the Rare Find Autumn 2026 Collection of whiskies offers plenty for collectors and curious whisky drinkers alike. The range goes on sale September 17, 2026.

Note: These whisky prices are exclusively for the UK.
