The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky Indian Festive Blend, is a new limited-edition Scotch created by Master Blender Dr Emma Walker, inspired by the flavours and festive traditions of Indian cuisine. The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky Indian Festive Blend, was developed to complement the richness and diversity of Indian cuisine, drawing on the balance of spice, sweetness and aromatic flavours found in Indian cooking. According to Johnnie Walker, the Blue Label whisky opens with cardamom and saffron, alongside delicate rosewater and bright citrus. Honeyed richness and chocolate-dipped fruit follow, with warm spices and a gentle wisp of smoke rounding out the profile.
Dr Emma Walker says the balance of bold spice, sweetness and depth in Indian cuisine was the inspiration behind the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky Indian Festive Blend. Importantly, these are tasting notes rather than ingredients added to the whisky. With only one in every 10,000 casks considered to possess the depth of flavour required for Blue Label. That means this is still recognisably Johnnie Walker Blue Label whisky, but with a profile deliberately shaped around Indian cuisine.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky Indian Festive Blend continues teh company's creative partnership with Rahul Mishra, whose intricate design celebrates the vibrancy of India and the festive season.
The collaboration brings together Mishra's contemporary Indian design aesthetic and Johnnie Walker Blue Label whisky's signature blue bottle. The new release is part of a wider festive campaign featuring experiences and celebrations planned for the coming months.
Johnnie Walker has announced the whisky as a limited-edition release for the 2026 festive season. An official India retail price was not included in the launch announcement, so an India price should not be quoted until an official retail listing becomes available. US retail listings currently put the 750ml bottle at around US$220–$238, but these are retailer prices rather than an official global RRP.
The brand has also not published a complete recipe for the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky Indian Festive Blend, although it says the whisky uses some of the rare whiskies from its extensive reserves.
