Celebrity spirits are no longer just about putting a famous face on a bottle. The result is a growing collection of Indian celebrity-owned brands that are as interested in positioning and provenance as they are in star power. What makes these 5 whisky, vodka, and tequila brands interesting is the variety. In other words, celebrity spirits are no longer following one very predictable recipe.
When Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan entered the spirits business with D'YAVOL, subtlety was never really going to be the strategy. The brand has positioned itself firmly in the luxury spirits space, with D'YAVOL Inception whisky alongside other expressions.
It is arguably the most recognisable luxury name in this list, but the more interesting part is the ambition behind it: D'YAVOL whisky is being built as a broader lifestyle brand rather than simply another celebrity bottle.

That makes The Glenwalk whisky particularly interesting in this lineup: it is not simply resting on the actor's name. It is actively expanding its whisky portfolio and experimenting with stronger, smokier and peated expressions.

If D'YAVOL brings the luxury whisky credentials, Rangeela brings considerably more colour. Ranveer Singh has partnered with ABD Maestro on Rangeela Contemporary Indian Vodka, a premium vodka positioned around a distinctly modern Indian identity.
Triple distilled and platinum chill filtered, Rangeela Vodka represents the newer wave of celebrity spirits, which are less about attaching a star to an established drink and more about creating a brand with its own personality.

Rana Daggubati and Anirudh Ravichander co-founded Loca Loka alongside entrepreneur Sree Harsha Vadlamudi. The premium tequila is produced in Jalisco, Mexico, while the brand brings an Indian creative sensibility to the category.
With Blanco and Reposado expressions, Loca Loka Tequila gives this list a welcome change of pace. After all, the celebrity spirits conversation in India is no longer confined to whisky.

What makes these Indian celebrity-owned alcohol brands interesting is that they are not following one template. D'YAVOL is chasing luxury, The GlenJourneys is building around cask-finished whisky, The Glenwalk is expanding its Scotch whisky portfolio, Rangeela is taking on premium vodka, while Loca Loka is bringing Mexican tequila into the celebrity spirits conversation.
