The White Peak Wire Works shows what English whisky can do with a carefully chosen cask programme. The whisky combines Tawny Port barriques with first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels and is bottled at 50.2% ABV. Notes of cinder toffee, demerara sugar, vanilla fudge, milk chocolate and cherry pie make this a particularly indulgent Gold winner.
