Made at Midleton in County Cork, it is triple distilled in copper pot stills and aged 12 years in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Expect fruit, warming spice, sherry sweetness and toasted oak. It won Gold and Category Winner in Irish Pot Still 12 Years and Under at the World Whiskies Awards Ireland 2026.
Redbreast 12 Year Old price: Approx. US$62 / £51 (ABV 40%)
Aged seven years in bourbon casks, sherry butts and Madeira casks, and bottled at cask strength. Pineapple, kiwi, green banana and lime zest give way to baked apple, hazelnut and pot still spice. It took Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2026.
Blue Spot 7 Year Old price: Approx. US$150 / £90 (ABV 58.7%–59.1%)
From Irish Distillers’ experimental range, it matures in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, then finishes in French chestnut casks from the Isère region. Ginger, anise, vanilla, toffee and brown sugar lead to black tea and spice. It won Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2026.
Method & Madness price: Approx. US$60 / £64.95 (ABV 46%)
Made in Belfast from equal parts malted and unmalted barley and aged in ex-bourbon casks. Cheesecake, butter, baked vanilla and fresh bread meet ginger and cinnamon. It won Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2026. The bottle is labelled pot still, not single pot still.
Titanic Distillers 5 Year Old price: Approx. US$48 / £35.95 (ABV 46%)
Triple distilled at Midleton and matured across five cask types: virgin Irish, European and American oak, plus ex-bourbon and ex-sherry barrels. Honeycomb, salted caramel and nutmeg lead to dark chocolate, ginger and orange peel. It won Bronze at the World Whiskies Awards 2026.
Jameson Five Oak Cask Release price: Approx. US$85 (ABV 46%)
